Gross margins also improved to <strong>33.2%<\/strong> (vs. 28.8% last year), benefiting from lower coal prices and a greater share of low-cost renewable energy in the power mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operating and financial highlights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Operating expenses increased by 9% YoY<\/strong> to Rs. 2.7 billion, mainly due to higher export volumes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other income<\/strong> surged nearly <strong>4x YoY<\/strong> to Rs. 11.0 billion, fueled by dividend income of Rs. 6.0 billion from LEPCL and Rs. 1.3 billion from LMC\u2014both absent in the same quarter last year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Finance cost<\/strong> <strong>declined by 26% YoY<\/strong> to Rs. 287 million, reflecting the impact of lower interest rates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>effective tax rate<\/strong> fell to <strong>22%<\/strong>, from 31% in 3QFY24, due to tax-exempt dividend income from LEPCL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Valuation and outlook<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While Lucky\u2019s fundamentals remain solid, the stock has already rallied <strong>93% during FYTD<\/strong>.
