{"id":3903,"date":"2024-04-15T10:34:26","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T10:34:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ksestocks.com\/blog\/?p=3903"},"modified":"2024-04-15T13:57:57","modified_gmt":"2024-04-15T13:57:57","slug":"amendments-in-psx-regulations-transition-to-one-share-lot-size","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ksestocks.com\/blog\/amendments-in-psx-regulations-transition-to-one-share-lot-size\/","title":{"rendered":"Amendments in PSX Regulations: Transition to One Share Lot Size"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SECP Approves Changes in PSX Regulations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved amendments to the PSX Regulations regarding the marketable lot size of one share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the approved amendments, all regular market symbols currently traded in lot sizes of 20, 50, 100, and 500 shares will be converted into a lot size of one share. As a result, these symbols will be discontinued in the Odd Lot market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Points for Transition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transition to the one-share lot size will occur in batches every week, starting from April 22, 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The transition will be completed in six batches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Companies with lot sizes of 20, 50, and 100 shares will be grouped into a single batch due to their nominal contribution percentage in terms of total trades of the Regular (REG) market.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A list of companies to be converted into one share lot effective April 22, 2024, is provided in Annexure &#8220;A&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subsequent batch-wise lists of companies will be notified to the market before each implementation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All REG market symbols, including GEM symbols, will be part of this transition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exclusions from Transition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Equities ETFs (UBLPETF, NITGETF, NBPGETF, MZNPETF, JSMFETF, ACIETF, JSGBETF, and MIIETF) and Fixed Income ETF (HBLTETF) will not be part of this transition and will continue to trade in a lot size of 500 shares, remaining available in the Odd Lot market.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliverable Future Contracts (DFCs) and initial public offers (IPOs) with a lot size of 500 shares will also continue unchanged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All stakeholders are advised to take note of these changes and make necessary arrangements accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Annexure \u201cA\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>Batch#<\/th><th>Lot Size<\/th><th>No. of Companies<\/th><th>System Maintenance at PSX<\/th><th>Implementation Effective Date<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>1<\/td><td>20, 50 &amp; 100<\/td><td>84<\/td><td>Friday, 19th April, 2024<\/td><td>Monday, 22nd April, 2024<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This table outlines the details for the first batch, including the lot sizes, the number of companies, the scheduled system maintenance at PSX, and the effective implementation date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>List of Symbols in Batch 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><thead><tr><th>S.
