{"id":3689,"date":"2024-04-08T08:43:10","date_gmt":"2024-04-08T08:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ksestocks.com\/blog\/?p=3689"},"modified":"2024-04-09T09:52:50","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T09:52:50","slug":"ifc-approves-400mn-debt-financing-to-ptc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ksestocks.com\/blog\/ifc-approves-400mn-debt-financing-to-ptc\/","title":{"rendered":"IFC approves $400mn debt financing to PTC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In a notification sent to PSX on 08\/04\/2024, <strong>Pakistan Telecommunication Ltd (PTC)<\/strong> has announced that it received approval of debt financing from International Finance Corporation (IFC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The notice said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>PTCL has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with the shareholders of Telenor Pakistan (Private) Limited (\u201cTPL\u201d) for the acquisition of 100% shares of TPL, based on an Enterprise Value of <strong>PKR 108 billion<\/strong> on a cash-free, debt-free basis. The Transaction will be financed by external debt that will be raised by the Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is to inform you that the Board of Directors of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has approved the debt financing of up to <strong>US$ 400 million<\/strong> to PTCL for the acquisition of TPL. The finalization of workstreams to sign financing agreements with IFC is underway and expected to be completed on or before<strong> 31st July 2024<\/strong>.
