That\u2019s more than double (up 123% YoY) compared to last year. The growth also looks strong on a month-to-month basis, rising 64% from June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So what\u2019s behind this surge? A big reason is the \u201clow base effect.\u201d Last year, sales fell sharply in June 2024 as buyers rushed to get phones ahead of expected budget changes. This made the current numbers look much stronger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7-month picture<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From January to July 2025 (7M2025), locally made phones hit <strong>17.83 million units<\/strong>, slightly lower than the 18.95 million recorded last year. Out of these, about half (52%) were feature phones (2G), while the other half (48%) were smartphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s notable is that <strong>95% of Pakistan\u2019s mobile demand is now being met locally<\/strong>, showing how fast the domestic industry has grown compared to relying on imports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who\u2019s leading the market?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The top locally assembled brands in 7M2025 were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>VGO Tel<\/strong> \u2013 2.12m units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Infinix<\/strong> \u2013 2.01m units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Itel<\/strong> \u2013 1.53m units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vivo<\/strong> \u2013 1.38m units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Xiaomi<\/strong> \u2013 1.04m units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Samsung<\/strong> \u2013 0.93m units<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other players include Tecno, QMobile, G\u2019Five, and Nokia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outlook ahead<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking forward, sales are expected to grow by <strong>7\u20138% YoY over the next year<\/strong>. With inflation easing and brands like Samsung and Xiaomi usually launching new models in September, the industry is expected to see even more activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For investors, companies like <strong>Airlink Communication (<a href=\"https:\/\/ksestocks.com\/blog\/tag\/airlink\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"143\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AIRLINK<\/a>)<\/strong> and <strong>Lucky Cement (<a href=\"https:\/\/ksestocks.com\/blog\/tag\/luck\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LUCK<\/a>)<\/strong> stand to benefit since they are linked with major brands being assembled locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final take<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan\u2019s mobile phone market is becoming more self-reliant, with local players taking charge. The trend is positive for the economy, reducing import bills while creating jobs.
