This equals <strong>earnings per share (EPS) of PKR 2.01<\/strong>, compared to just PKR 0.91 in 4QFY24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sales supported by strong cement prices &amp; export growth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sales revenue<\/strong> is estimated at <strong>PKR 17.6 billion<\/strong>, up <strong>12% year-on-year<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is backed by:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Higher cement prices<\/strong>: The average price of a 50kg bag rose <strong>12% YoY<\/strong> to PKR 1,412.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stronger export dispatches<\/strong>: Cement exports likely rose <strong>75% YoY<\/strong> and over <strong>230% from the previous quarter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Margins might dip slightly<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While profits are expected to rise, <strong>gross margins<\/strong> could slip to around <strong>30%<\/strong>, compared to <strong>35% last year<\/strong>. The dip is due to a larger share of exports, which usually bring in lower profits than domestic sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lower interest rates = huge cost savings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Finance costs are expected to fall by <strong>~62% YoY<\/strong>, thanks to a sharp drop in interest rates (from 20.5% last year to 11% now).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This could help boost net earnings despite margin pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cement dispatches trending up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Local sales<\/strong> are forecasted to rise <strong>7% YoY<\/strong>, reaching over <strong>914,000 tons<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Export volumes<\/strong> may jump to nearly <strong>90,000 tons<\/strong>, showing growing international demand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Maple Leaf Cement is likely to report <strong>a strong quarter<\/strong> with rising profits, better export performance, and major savings from lower interest rates.
