In the last quarter alone (April to June 2025), the company made <strong>Rs2.8 billion<\/strong>, showing <strong>9% growth<\/strong> compared to the previous quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Earnings per share (EPS), <\/strong>a key number for investors, came in at <strong>Rs6.17<\/strong> for 4QFY25 and <strong>Rs25.46<\/strong> for the full year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dividend payouts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>LCI has been generous with shareholders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rs6.2 per share dividend announced for 4QFY25.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This brings the <strong>total dividend for the year to Rs 13\/share.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What drove the growth?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the main reasons LCI performed better this quarter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 <strong>Higher gross margins<\/strong>, LCI kept more profit from its sales by improving efficiency, especially in its <strong>pharmaceutical division<\/strong>, and from <strong>better pricing<\/strong> of non-essential medicines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 <strong>Other income<\/strong> jumped by <strong>39% quarter-on-quarter<\/strong>, thanks to higher service fees from one of its subsidiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 <strong>Finance cost<\/strong> (money spent on interest and borrowing) was down <strong>43% YoY<\/strong>, which helped boost net profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Revenue and sales<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Annual sales<\/strong> were slightly higher than the last year at <strong>Rs 119.9 billion<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>However, <strong>quarterly sales fell 6% YoY<\/strong>, mainly due to weaker demand or pricing in some segments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cost control &amp; profitability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gross margin for the quarter stood at <strong>23.2%<\/strong>, up from <strong>22%<\/strong> in the previous quarter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Annual gross margin also improved to <strong>22.8%<\/strong>, up from 22.4% in FY24.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Operating profit<\/strong> for 4QFY25 was <strong>Rs 4.4 billion<\/strong>, a decline from last year but still stable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stock split alert<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this year, LCI announced a <strong>5-for-1 stock split<\/strong>, meaning each shareholder got five shares for every one share they owned. This increased the total number of shares from 92 million to <strong>462 million<\/strong>, making the stock more affordable for small investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do analysts say?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Topline Securities maintains a <strong>\u201cHold\u201d<\/strong> rating on the stock.
